Matthew liked hats and had a nice little collection, including a fireman's and a coal miners cap. He also enjoyed sports. Reggie Jackson of the Yankees was his favorite ball player at the time. Although he liked baseball,it was fishing that was his passion. He was quite the sportsman and many a man learned from him.
